Man, are we hard on ourselves.Really, how often do your eyes immediately zoom to the part of your body you like the least? I can betcha you’ve been saying that same tired old refrain to your self for a while now. or if by chance, you worked yourself into a reasonable facsimile of what you think you should look like ( with the latest Real Housewives of Vancouver ladies as role models) ( I’d like to know in what world those women are real in any sense of the word, housewife or not) you are in constant high alert less another pound slip on or another wrinkle appear.
Now, I’m all for being the
best you possible. It’s what I do.
But not at the expense of missing out on
what life has to offer right now.
Someday, you may find yourself rocking on
the front porch. Or in a wheel chair. Or worse.
Will you be saying “Man, I’m sooo glad I spent all that time worrying about how I looked?”
or will be be-” I’m thankful I enjoyed my life as best I could with what I had. I experienced
life and not let it pass me by while I waited until I looked perfect to participate.”
It’s your choice. Make the right one.
Wishing you grace
