I want to clarify I am not an economist, and I do not have any special training in economics. What I am is a successful do it yourself, think out of the box woman who when told it can’t be done takes on the challenge of doing it! The it in this case being the start up of my business in THIS economy! How many times have you let THIS ECONOMY affect you? I want to help you create a new way of thinking and being starting today.
Someone who studies the economy is called and economist. The main job of an economist, no matter what the specialty, is to examine the inner workings of the economy of interest relative to their field of expertise and make predictions and recommendations based on those factors.
For example, an economic expert looking at housing and seeing a slowdown may advise a company making air conditioning or furnace units to begin to cut back on their production, as demand is likely to wane. This helps the company prepare for a slowdown by avoiding becoming overstocked or overstaffed, thus adding to the long-term financial stability of the institution. Think of it as a check and balance system.
From this point forward it’s time to consider your brand (YOU) your own economy and you are the economist of your brand. You are the economist of YOU and YOUR BRAND. You are going to look at the inner workings of YOU! Creating Mindset is a huge piece of this puzzle.
What I want to show you is exactly how focusing on you/ your brand will ultimately affect the masses. From an energetic perspective it’s really very basic; what you think about your bring about. To complete that equation you MUST follow up with INSPIRED ACTION!
I think we would all agree the success to anything you build is the strength of the foundation you build on. In order to create a strong global economy there must be an investment in building a foundation; included are, investing adequately in schooling, healthcare, transportation and so on. As it relates to YOUR personal economy your investment is equally important.
Below are 4 areas you MUST invest in to build a solid foundation:
- Self Development
- Mind Set
#1 “An education isn’t how much you have committed to memory, or even how much you know. It’s being able to differentiate between what you know and what you don’t.”
I love the saying you don’t know what you don’t know. At first it sounds kind of silly but when you really stop and listen to the words it makes you wonder what you don’t know and what if you did know! I am always inspired to go and find out what I need to know!
Education is the 1st component to creating your own successful economy. You will always find education comes in all shapes and sizes and it arrives in the form of textbooks, human beings, and life lived. In order to create a solid foundation for your economy you want to make sure you invest in all 3 forms. I am a huge advocate for learning. I am also a very out of the box thinker and I never have expectations of where the learning will come from.
I have learned firsthand how it is so important to get educated in your specific area of expertise and to keep learning and adding to what you already know. I like to think of my learning in layers. The 1st layer being a very broad search of the many facets of what I am looking to learn. For example, I have always known I was going to make a difference in women’s lives. I was always curious about their lives, their core beliefs, and why they did the things they did. Once I got that layer I went on the next which was to education myself formally in metaphysics the study of ontology, the actual study of why we are here. I got a degree in spiritual counseling in metaphysics and then it was time to go deeper. My next level was to actually study with psychologists to understand the patterns of thought and feeling and how they are interconnected and you never have one without the other. You get the picture!
Tip #1 Invest in getting educated. Define clearly what it is you want to offer the world and then be open to the continuous learning.
#2 “A lot of people have gone further than they thought they could because someone else thought they could.”
Support is the 2nd component to creating your own successful economy. You cannot do it alone. Let me say that again. YOU CANNOT DO IT ALONE. There is an undeniable strength in team.
I will be completely transparent with you and tell you for a long time I tried to row my own boat and resisted allowing anyone to help me. I studied, I added to my knowledge of the subject I longed to bring to the world but I just couldn’t seem to get it lifted off the ground to the level that I wanted to. I was told over and over what a wonderful service I provided. I was a featured guest on a lot of radio shows, I was the featured expert in tele-summits and live events, but I just couldn’t reach the next level UNTIL I invested in a mentor! It took me a LONG time to realize that and I am bringing it to light for you so you don’t have to struggle like I did.
I made excuses for not investing in a mentor; I can’t afford it, or no one really knows my business like me, or my business is good enough just as it is. All those excuses were born out of fear. Fear that I might be successful. The truth is my money mindset kept me small for a very, very long time. I lived out my family legacy of never having enough. It was the mindset I was unconsciously building my business and my life on! Whew, did that create a major mess!
Being true to who I am I decided to re-open the wound of my money story and clean it out once and for all. I won’t lie that was some intense work and with the help of Spirit, great psychotherapist friends and a lot of inner work I became whole.
It’s funny because once I became whole I realized exactly how incomplete I really was. All the sudden I knew what was missing! I needed a team to support me. I hired my technical persons, my personal coaches, accountants and so on.. It does take a village! LOL
Tip #2 Invest emotionally, energetically and financially in the right support team. It will save you A LOT of MONEY.
#3 Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom.—Aristotle
The 3rd component is YOU, investment in YOU. I want you to really savor this and breathe it all in and let it settle into your core. Your outside life (business, relationships) will only develop to the level that you are developed (emotionally, spiritually) on the inside. Developing self is the key to creating your own economy. It is the root to all successful businesses.
When it comes to Self Develop there isn’t one sure-fire recipe. I have learned from experience that everyone responds differently to the call of personal development. I am providing you with guideline and principles that have worked for me personally and for many of my clients.
I encourage you to use your creative self to take away what you most need and add what you feel is missing when you begin the journey to a deeper self.
Areas to consider when creating your foundation for your own economy.
- Acceptance: Accept reality and rid your life of denial
- Awareness: Develop awareness and deliberately co-create your life
- Love: Deepen your ability to connect with yourself and others
- Integrity: Discipline and consistency create strength
- Unity: Stop fighting against what is and come from mindset of oneness
- Courage: Meet fear with willingness to look directly into it
- Creativity: Live authentically, define your uniqueness and live out your brilliance
6 Main Areas of Your Life to Develop
- Habits: Examine your core beliefs. Beliefs create habits; habits create action.
- Money: Reveal your money story and release yourself from the negative energy of what was.
- Health: Create healthy habits that will empower your physical body. Healthy habits include mind, body & spirit.
- Relationships: Create loving relationships being with YOU. You can only give to others what resides within you.
- Spirituality: Deepen your connection to Spirit so you can live consciously.
- Intuition: Develop your own unique inner knowing and trust your own judgment.
Tip # 3 EVERYTHING begins and ends with you. You are ONE with the CREATOR and to love and honor yourself is the gift you give to the universe.
#4 Mindsets play strange tricks on us. We see things the way our minds have instructed our eyes to see.
The 4th component to creating your own successful economy is Mindset. Mindsets play a MAJOR role when building your economy. Think about the little engine that could! “I think I can I think I can!” and so, he did! The same is true for you.
The simplest way to create internal shift is to change the way you think, feel, interpret, react, cope, expect, process, interact and communicate. I can sum it up in 3 simple words:
EXPERIENCE NEW THINGS!
If it is your intention to be different you MUST DO DIFFERENT!
Our brains are amazing and the truth is science has only begun to truly understand the depth of its functionality. What is certain is that the brain relies on what it knows, what is worn into it. Expectations, emotions, attitudes and beliefs are all woven in from the moment we enter this world. Well intended families, and society “teach” us what to think and how to react and once these patterns are established it takes a lot of conscious thought and effort to create different, BUT IT IS POSSIBLE!!! The internal shift is simply created by replacing the old experience/thought with a new experience/thought.
Change comes from doing. We can’t simply ‘think’ ourselves different; we must ‘do’ ourselves different. We need to create inspired action behind our new thoughts. This is the only way to internal transformation.
Here is my personal story of a new inner mindset
I was raised to believe women didn’t need an education because their job was to find and marry a man who would take care of them. To shorten this story, I did just that. I also held onto the belief I wasn’t smart enough because I had no formal college education. When I reached my late 30’s I knew there had to be more than what I kept thinking about me; I was too stupid to achieve academic success and therefore I was destined to a less than fulfilling life.
I was a self-proclaimed dummy who one day decided to enroll in college, I do the work, I develop learned study-skills, I embrace the academic learning, I pass the exams and I achieve success! I AM CHANGED! My ability was always there but the confidence wasn’t. My self-limiting thinking and self-sabotaging behaviors are GONE– as I have created a new mindset by DOING! I stepped out of the box and took a chance!
Now…. I Am The Business Woman who set up her own business. I consciously create from a place of I CAN DO IT.. and, so, I DO! I actually do it. The first few years of owning my own business, I embraced the fact that growing would only come from stepping out of my box and creating new experiences. The experiences change me and now I life my life with a completely new mindset.
It’s time to get rid of the story. Rid yourself of the excuses. Use your past only as a guide to the future not as a baseball bat to beat yourself over the head. Forgive yourself. Be kind to yourself. Love your Humanity. Consciously plan your direction.
Tip #4 To be different you MUST DO DIFFERENT. You destination is anywhere you set your mind to!
